YOGA ONE-ON-ONE

My teachers in India taught that personal transformation can only begin in a group Yoga class, but is accomplished by working one-on-one with a teacher.  A personal connection with a teacher is the way Yoga has been transmitted for thousands of years.  It works.  It is the basis of my training.  Private Yoga is a great way to accelerate your practice and realize your full potential.

Sometimes people are intimidated by the thought of joining a group Yoga class.  They have read how Yoga can help with stress or that it can help a chronically sore back, but they think they are “too tight” or “too out of shape” to start Yoga.  This is where private Yoga sessions can help — you receive the personal attention that is missing in group classes.

Private sessions provide a setting where your individual needs are completely addressed.  Yoga postures and breath work are chosen and developed to meet your specific needs.  Learning and practicing at your own pace is the most effective way to realize the benefits of Yoga.  Through an approach that is gradual and gentle you can experience how the subtle power of authentic Yoga works with all aspects of your being.

In one-on-one sessions, we address the entire mind-body complex in a holistic manner.  One or more of the following benefits may be achieved:

  • Rehabilitation from injury

  • Relief from long-term pain and stiffness

  • Improved strength and flexibility

  • Management of your stress and anxiety and improved mental clarity

  • Proper breathing to stimulate the relaxation response

  • Quality time for yourself

  • A spiritual practice

A private Yoga session is 75-90 minutes (length of time to be determined based on your needs) in my home studio or your home or place of business.  The first session is usually two hours so that we can discuss your needs and learn what you hope to receive from private Yoga sessions, combined with a practice.

IF YOU CAN NOT FULFILL YOUR SESSION, CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN FOR A FUTURE CLASS WITHIN TWO MONTHS

  • The first private session (one person) is $100 because of the time involved.  Thereafter, appointments are $85 per session.

  • The first session of a semi-private class (two or more students) is $125.00.  Thereafter, appointments are $100 per session.

  • If you prefer classes in your home, make sure that there is ample space available for the comfort of all participants and that the environment is conducive for meditation and relaxation.   

  • 10% discount available if you book and pay for FOUR or more sessions in advance or after first class.  Sliding scale is not available for this package as it is already discounted.

  • Trauma survivors can receive a sliding scale discount if desired.

  • Private class packages must be completed within 2 months, no extensions given.

  • $25 (each session) will be added for travel outside the Aurora-Batavia-Geneva-St. Charles area

  • IF YOU ARE A NEW STUDENT, YOU MUST PAY FOR YOUR FIRST CLASS IN ADVANCE BY GIVING ME YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION OR YOU CAN USE PAYPAL OR SQUARE CASH.

  • IF A PRIVATE CLASS IS CANCELLED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR APPOINTMENT, THE FULL CLASS FEE WILL BE CHARGED AS A CANCELLATION FEE.

  • IF YOU BOUGHT A 4 CLASS PACKAGE AND YOU CANCEL CLASS WITHIN 24 HOURS, ONE CLASS WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR CLASS PACKAGE.
